It’s difficult to answer your question, as there are too many variables. Amount of water, brew times, etc. But if you are following the printed package instructions, you’ll get best flavor.
If the tea is in tea bags, different brands can produce different strengths for the same “variety”. Twinings are typically very good. Loose tea should be one teaspoon of loose tea per cup.
Teas such as Earl Grey have flavorings in it (bergamont) that hides the actual flavor of the tea,
I’ve had all those above, and more. Here’s my take based on years of drinking tea, from strongest to lightest (ignoring the added flavorings):
English Breakfast
Yorkshire
Assam
Early Grey
Lady Grey
If you enjoy tea, try some Formossa Oolong. Very aromatic. A little sweet and floral. Close to Jasmine without the added flowers.
Best “supermarket” tea: Swee-touch-nee.
