Does Traditional Medicinals Organic Mother’s Milk Tea really bring in more breast milk?
Lately, I’ve been stressed out that my breast milk has slightly decreased and I need to feed my 1 month old daughter for the next 5 months until she starts on her solids in December. I’m working on not getting too stressed out, but can anybody explain personal experiences with this herbal tea? Like, did this product increase your milk supply? Please explain.
You would have to drink about 10 cups of this tea a day to even notice a difference. It’s better to just take fenugreek capsules (the tea contains fenugreek). If you like the taste of the tea (many moms do not), then there is no harm in drinking it. Many moms also find that having something warm to drink before they nurse or pump helps their milk letdown faster.
Also, remember that solids at 6 months should be a COMPLEMENT to the milk diet and should never replace any feedings at the breast. At 6 months, solids are for fun and learning how to swallow and get used to texture.
