When is it time to buy a new Coffee maker?
I have a Mr.Coffee maker that’s about 3-4 years old. Lately, my coffee has been tasting TERRIBLE! I use Maxwell House and original Dunkin Donuts coffee and they both have this weird taste to them no matter how much sugar or cream I put in. I ended up cleaning the entire inside of the coffee maker and removing any old coffee grounds that got stuck but that didn’t help. It still tastes bad with both types of coffee grounds.
I was just wondering if I need to fix something or, is just getting old and I need to buy a new one?
November, January stores usually have great buys on small appliances. In November because of Christmas (especially Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving); and January to entice after holiday customers and get rid of unsold Christmas stock.
It sounds like your coffee maker just needs a good cleaning, add two cap fills of white vinegar into a coffee pot of water pour into coffee maker just as you would if you were making coffee (the vinegar lifts the grunge off of the heated coils which is giving you the funny taste.) after that batch has perk through rinse by perking a pot of clear water (clearing out the vinegar taste) Then perk your coffee as usual.
