What are the best coffee beans for automatic espresso makers?
I bought an automatic espresso maker and I saw reviews that said to use coffee beans that aren’t oily. Apparently, that will keep the grinder from getting clogged up. What beans should I use?
I live in San Francisco, but I’m also happy to buy online.
It largely depends where you are. The most important factor for choosing beans is freshness. The nearer the beans are roasted to you the fresher they will be. Try looking online for coffee roasters that are reasonably local to you. Most will offer mail order these days. Better still join a coffee forum and ask people that live near you who they use to supply their beans.
